On A Mission – Read Lk 9:1-6, 10

Jesus has called his twelve closest friends together. It sounds important. As they gather round, we listen in. He’s sending them away! No, it’s not because they have finished something, but because Jesus is starting something. He’s telling them to go and teach, but also to do marvellous things – he’s giving them power to help people! They are being told to do miracles, though - drive out devils and cure sick people. They are to go as they are, without planning for anything else. They all go off in different directions. We go with them. When they come back, they are excited and tell everything that is happened.
Talk to them. What do they think of all these new jobs, and what have they seen?
