CRA EVENT CANCELLATION or change in event POLICY

1.   COVID-19 Guidelines for In-person Events

The health of our members, event participants and staff is always our priority.

CRA has chosen event venues which have confirmed that they are following best practice guidelines in relation to COVID-19. Participants are required to comply with government directives at any given time, which may include the wearing of masks in the training/seminar, social distancing and sanitising.

In the interests of the health and well-being of fellow participants, CRA and venue staff, we ask that that you do not attend the event if you have cold or flu-like symptoms.

2. Substitution for in-person seminars and online events

If after booking an in-person seminar or online event you are unable to attend, you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place at no extra cost.

We will need the name and email of the substitute no later than two (2) business days before the event is scheduled to commence, so that we can send the new participant either the venue details or Zoom link for the event. Please notify CRA by email: secretariat@catholicreligious.org.au

3. Cancellation for in-person seminars or online events

3.1         In-person events
For an in-person event, cancellations more than eight (8) business days before the event will usually be refunded 100% of the registration fee. Venues usually require guaranteed attendance numbers seven business days before an event. Unfortunately, cancellations fewer than eight (8) business days before the event will receive no refund. Accommodation cancellations will be refunded if (10) business days from the event, and are based on the hotel’s policy.

3.2         Online events
For paid online events, cancellations more than one (1) business day before the event will be refunded 100% of the registration fee. Cancellation on the day or less than 24 hours of the commencement of the event, will not be refunded.

3.3         Impact of COVID-19
Considering the uncertainty of circumstances in relation to the possibility of COVID-19 outbreaks, CRA will refund 100% of your registration fee should you have to cancel due to having COVID, awaiting COVID test results, having your travel formally restricted due to closure of state borders or being in a Local Government Area of concern.

3.4         Particular Events
In some instances, CRA events will have a different cancellation policy as a result of the terms and conditions of the venue, of the speaker(s) or other factors. An example may be that the venue requires a minimum numbers of people for a retreat centre or the speaker’s costs may require a certain number of people to make the event viable. Refunds will not be granted after registration for these events and this will be indicated on the relevant webpage and flyer.

Terms & Conditions
CRA reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel all or any of the arrangements contained in a programme. In the unlikely event that CRA must cancel an event, CRA does not accept responsibility for a registrant’s transport, accommodation or other expenses.

Speakers for an event may withdraw or change without notice and refunds are not available on the basis of such change.
