CRA EVENT CANCELLATION or change in event POLICY
1. Purpose
This policy sets out the terms and conditions under which a refund may be obtained if a registrant is unable to attend an event hosted by Catholic Religious Australia (CRA) for which they have paid.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all in-person seminars, conferences and on-line events hosted by CRA, with the exception of the annual CRA National Assembly.
3. Substitution for attendance at an event
If, after registering for an event a registrant is unable to attend, they may nominate another person to attend in their place at no extra cost. To do this, notify CRA the name, congregation (if applicable) and email address of the substitute no later than two (2) business days before the event is scheduled to commence, so that the new registrant can be provided with the venue details or Zoom link. Notification is to be effected by way of email to secretariat@catholicreligious.org.au.
4. Event Refunds
4.1 In-person events
For an in-person event, cancellations by the registrant more than eight (8) business days before the event will be refunded 100% of the registration fee. The registrant must notify CRA via email at secretariat@catholicreligious.org.au if a refund is sought. Cancellations by the registrant fewer than eight (8) business days before the event will receive no refund.
4.2 Online events
For paid online events, cancellations by the registrant more than one (1) business day before the event, will be refunded 100% of the registration fee. The registrant must notify CRA via email at secretariat@catholicreligious.org.au. Cancellation by the registrant on the day of the event or less than 24 hours before the commencement of the event will not be refunded.
5. Exceptions
5.1 National Assembly
The CRA National Assembly has its own terms and conditions under which a refund may be obtained because of the specific requirements of the venue of the National Assembly, which can be found on the National Assembly registration page.
5.2 Other Events
In some instances, the terms and conditions regarding cancellation by a registrant for a CRA event differ from those stated in this policy because they are subject to the requirements of a specific venue, speaker or other factors. The terms and conditions regarding cancellation in these situations will be stated on the event registration page.
6. Changes to an event by CRA
6.1 CRA reserves the right to alter or change all or any of the arrangements contained in a CRA event programme. No refunds are available if the event is altered or changed including changes relating to speakers.
6.2 In the unlikely event that CRA cancels an event, registration fees which have been paid will be fully refunded. CRA does not accept responsibility, however, for a registrant’s transport, accommodation, or other expenses.
