As we walk along the roads we notice some people popping up regularly. They are not just the twelve men who Jesus chose after that night of prayer but women from all sorts of backgrounds. Here is Joanna, a rich woman whose husband, Chuza, is a powerful man in the local administration. Where does she come from? How does she come to know and love this wandering carpenter? Here is Mary, a woman who has been healed from terrible attacks by demons by Jesus. Where does she come from and how did Jesus heal her? Who else is there? What about me?
