A Boy With Fits – Read Lk 9:37-43

The day after we get back down, we are back on the road with crowds all around. A man brings his son to Jesus. The boy has fits, and it seems as though something is inside him – he screams and hurts himself and throws himself on the ground in front of Jesus. Jesus isn’t frightened by the fits but gently takes the boy. Suddenly, the screams and the falling stop. Jesus hands him back to his father, calm.
Talk to the people, Jesus, the boy and the father. What just happened?
Have I had fits and tremors? What does it feel like? How do others act around me?
How do we make everyone welcome?
