Blessing Babies – Read Lk 18:15-17
Contemplation
The noise is everywhere. Children screaming, shouting, laughing. Babies crying. The disciples are at their wits’ end. Parents are shoving babies and toddlers into Jesus’ arms, begging for a blessing. “Stop!” “Go away!” the disciples shout. Jesus isn’t having any of it. “No, come here!” says Jesus. “They aren’t the problem – they point to how we are supposed to be. If you don’t accept God like a child, you can’t be part of God.”
What does Jesus mean?
Talk to Jesus and the people round him.
When am I tempted to turn people away because they are awkward to be around?
How do I accept God like a child?
