Sight And Faith – Read Mark 10:46-52

Contemplation

Now we can see Jerusalem ahead. There’s a sense that the long journey’s coming to an end but also nervousness and fear. Something big is happening. Jesus has been saying it’s not good, but what does it all mean? Is this really the end, then? Another blind man drops his coat on the roadside. Everyone’s telling to shut up, but he’s calling Jesus at the top of his voice. Jesus calls him and suddenly the crowd’s mood changes – “Go on then”. Jesus asks him what he wants. “I want to see.” No partial cure, this time. Here, at the end of the road, he suddenly sees perfectly.

  • Do I feel discouraged?

  • What happens when things don’t turn out the way I plan?

  • How do I feel when others discourage me?

  • Can I find Jesus there?
