A Rich Man’s Invitation – Read Mark 10:17-27

Still on the road, a man jumps in front of Jesus. He’s beautifully dressed and clearly has money. “Good master, what must I do to have life for ever?” He’s kneeling on the ground, pleading, his fine clothes getting all dirty on the mucky street, with all the mess of travellers and their animals all over them. Jesus looks at him. “Well, you know the teaching about how to live a good life.” “Oh yes, I have always lived like that.” Suddenly, the invitation hangs in the air. “Sell everything, give up all the things that bind you. Join me!”

What don’t I want to leave behind?
Am I free?
