News was spreading throughout the towns and villages of Galilee and the surrounding districts. In the Synagogues, in the market places, on the roads, Jesus was there every day, teaching from the Scriptures, preaching to bring the sacred messages into daily life, and healing the demons of despair, the fits of panic and anxiety and the paralysis of fear and indolence. Jesus met people where they were, lifting their spirits with hope, calling them to courageous action, opening their minds to the Good News of God’s love for every person. No one was left behind, no one discounted. Little children, older people, the sick, the ignorant all met with respect and kindness.

Discuss with Jesus the following points:
· Do I feel called to teach God’s message of love by my life?
· Do I regularly read and reflect on the Scriptures?
· Do I preach God’s word by the way I live?
· Can I heal people by listening to them without interruption, accepting them as they are?

Lord, make me an instrument of your love. Amen.
