A great and long awaited event for the Salvatorians in Australia and worldwide took place last week with the beatification of the Order’s founder, Fr Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan at the Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran in Rome, the e-Record reports.

The first Convent of Mercy on Australia’s East coast, in Nicholson Street Fitzroy, was recently entrusted by the Leadership Team of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy Australian and Papua New Guinea into the care of Sr Mary Moloney RSM, Principal, and Staff of Academy of Mary Immaculate, ‘for the furtherance of the Ministry of Education’.
