Catholic Earthcare is inviting Catholics across Australia to come together for a special opportunity to learn, connect and respond to the call to care for our common home, through the Catholic Earthcare Season of Creation Gathering, taking place online on September 3-4.
The Gathering will take place during the Season of Creation, a time of prayer, reflection and action marked each year by Christians around the world from 1 September to 4 October.

This endorsed Caritas Australia initiative, with the support of the Bishops Commission for Social Justice, Mission and Service and delivered in partnership with Catholic Religious Australia, will bring together people from across the Australian Church to explore how faith can inspire ecological action and hope.
The Gathering is a two-day online event designed to help Catholics deepen their understanding of integral ecology, strengthen their response to ecological and social challenges, and discover practical ways to care for creation within their communities and ministries.
Centred on the theme Listen, Reflect and Act, the program includes keynote presentations, theological and formation sessions, practical workshops and inspiring examples of ecological leadership from across Australia and beyond.
Day One focuses on formation and learning through keynote presentations. Day Two offers practical workshops designed to support action in local communities, schools and ministries.
The Gathering is open to anyone interested in responding to the call to care for our common home. Participants may include people involved in:
Dioceses and parishes.
Catholic schools and education offices.
Catholic healthcare providers.
Religious institutes.
Social service organisations.
Environmental and social justice ministries.
βAt a time when significant environmental and social challenges continue to affect communities around the world, the Gathering offers a space for hope, learning and collaboration in care for our common home,β Catholic Earthcare said in a statement promoting the event.
