Safeguarding Community of Practice - Professional Networking Event

Event Details:

This in-person workshop is an important opportunity for those working in safeguarding to gather together to learn and connect. Safeguarding is a tough and complex area. YOU matter in this work.

We will start the day with a focus on canon law implications, then move into separate groups for those working in female/male religious institutes. This will be followed by a 2-part session with the focus on you as an individual as you navigate this challenging area.

Speaker Bios:

Justin Glyn SJ
Justin is a Jesuit priest (General Counsel to the Australian Province) and Australian legal practitioner. A New Zealander who grew up in South Africa, Justin practised law in both countries and studied canon law in Canada. In addition to his role as General Counsel with the Jesuits, he lectures at Melbourne College of Divinity (Catholic Theological College) writes on disability theology and praxis (Justin is blind) and sits on the Disability Advisory Committee of Melbourne City Council.
