The Catholic Church in Australia has welcomed Pope Francis’ new document on the investigation and reporting of abuse within Church settings, which enshrines some measures long in place in Australia but also makes new provisions that will give greater impetus to the Church’s safeguarding efforts in this country.

The Australian Jesuits last week announced the Apostolic Priorities that will guide the religious order’s activities in Australia over the next five years.

From May 6-10, eight Australian women’s Congregational Leaders attended the UISG Plenary in Rome.  Throughout these five days the 850 Religious Women Leaders from around the world gathered, shared and reflected together on the theme Women Religious - Sowers of Prophetic Hope.
