Catholic Religious Australia (CRA) welcomes the passing of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Bill 2022 by Parliament last Friday 2 December 2022.

Catholic Religious Australia (CRA) together with Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking Humans (ACRATH) have appealed to the government to strengthen laws preventing human trafficking in a joint submission to the federal government review into the operation of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).

CRA applauds the NSW Government decision to increase the age for support of young people in care to 21 years and has written to the Hon. Natasha Maclaren-Jones, Minister for Families and Communities, and Minister for Disability Services, supporting. the decision.
