Catholic religious women and men gathered with their communities in solidarity recently, to recognise survivors of abuse within the Catholic Church and all those who have been hurt by that abuse. The purpose of the day was also to promise a safer Church for all.

The constant barrage of bad news about climate change and the future of our planet can be overwhelming. But, writes Sr Eileen Lenihan RSJ, the truth is every one of us can make a difference. Members of culturally diverse religious congregations, are sharing their experiences of interculturality as part of a Catholic Religious Australia initiative to support congregations in preparing for the future.

They were men and women of strong and embodied faith who lived the Gospel in the spirit of our traditions. They gifted the world with kindness, compassion, healing, and love. Through a wide array of ministries they furthered the one Mission of Christ. With commitment and dedication; with their great gifts and human frailties.”
